  • Our SLPs undergo comprehensive training in IDEA to ensure they are well-versed in the rights of students with disabilities, how to collaborate with educators and parents, and how to create compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Our team is trained in Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) to ensure that all student records, including speech therapy assessments and progress reports, are kept secure and shared only with authorized personnel.

  • The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) provides guidelines for supervising SLPs-in-training. Our team is trained in ASHA's supervision standards, ensuring effective mentoring of graduate students and clinical fellows pursuing their professional certification.

  • The Founder of Virtual Speech Academy (VSA) is committed to lifelong learning and recently earned the 2024 - 2027 Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from the American Speech and Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

Professional Experience

  • Our lead speech pathologist has devoted most of her career supporting students in the 3rd largest school district in the state of Florida and the 7th largest school district in the United States. She has worked at several schools throughout the county to include urban, rural, and Title 1 schools.

  • As a subcontractor, we have experience working with Hendry County School District, a rural district situated in the agricultural heartland of Florida, offering accessible diagnostic and therapeutic services to elementary, middle and high school students through tele-therapy.

  • As a subcontractor, we have experience working with the Omak School District located in the northern mountainous region of Washington state offering accessible diagnostic and therapeutic services to elementary, middle and high school students through tele-therapy.

  • As a subcontractor, we have experience supporting middle and high school students, virtually, within the St. Louis Public School District, located in the inner city of St. Louis; the 5th largest district in the state of Missouri.
